How to administer – reconstitution and how to inject
UpZep 30mg comes as a lyophilized powder in a single vial, with one amp of bacteriostatic water included

Reconstitution:

• Reconstitute with 1ml or 2ml of bacteriostatic water, depending on your preferred concentration

• Inject the water slowly down the side of the vial

• Swirl gently until fully dissolved—do not shake

Injection:

• Use a U100 insulin syringe (29–31 gauge)

• Dosages (if reconstituted with 2ml bacteriostatic water):

  • 2.5mg = 16.5 units – week 1 

  • 5mg = 33 units – week 2 & 3

  • 7.5mg = 50 units – week 4 & maintenance 

• Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm once per week
